Our Mission:

The Northeast Veterinary Technician Educators Association (NEVTEA) is committed to the formal education of veterinary technicians. NEVTEA strives to increase collaboration and communication between AVMA-accredited programs of veterinary technology located in the northeast sector of the United States.

It provides a venue for the exchange of ideas and educational approaches relevant to the veterinary technician student for use in the classroom, laboratory and veterinary clinic. It supports state legislation that defines and fortifies the profession of veterinary technology in keeping with recommendations of the North American Veterinary Technicians Accociation (NAVTA) and the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). NEVTEA seeks to leverage veterinary technicians in clinical practice and to promote the effectiveness of the veterinary health care team that ultimately results in improved medical care for animals.
